Masayuki Nakano

1979 Born into a pottery artist family in Karatsu
(one of the most famous production place of pottery)

2002 Graduated from Kyusyu Sangyo University
(major in formative art)

2003 Became an apprentice to his grandfather
who was the 4th generation of the family

Present: making pottery with his father who is the 5th generation of the family

He was born in the family which used to produce pottery as a tribute to the lord.
Keeping the tradition inherited from the ancestors,
he is also trying to find his unique expression which is rather unconstrained.
